Join the CORDS Consortium

The CORDS Consortium is a collection of domain experts who are working together to develop and deliver state-of-the-art technologies to help youth across Canada more easily access resources in the labour and employment, health and social services, human facing services, volunteering, and education sectors.

Consortium

The Consortium includes the following core founding partners responsible for the governance of both the technology and partnerships:

Connecting Canada’s Youth Services Sector

Members of the Consortium and Data Partners agree that CORDS and its associated technologies are meant to be a public good, offered to anyone who needs it without profit, and as accessible as possible to those who might benefit from its use.

Consortium Members agree to support CORDS through the following:

Data

  • Sharing data to support a high-quality navigation system capable of directing youth to relevant opportunities and resources.
  • Establishing and maintaining standards, methods, and systems for how data is exchanged, stored, and accessed for the purpose of maintaining the CORDS Platform.

Technology

  • Any new technology developed through the CORDS project maintains a commitment to data collaboration.
  • Members commit to developing, maintaining, and implementing data standards and technology to enable an infrastructure that allows users to navigate the landscape of public assistance.
  • Any technology developed as part of CORDS maintains a commitment to accessibility and being freely available for use.

Funding & Administration

  • Identify and pursue funding opportunities for maintenance and building of CORDS tools.
  • When required, Consortium members will be required to act as the lead on funding proposals for CORDS and serve as the holders of contracts, completing any required reporting to funders and facilitating the disbursement of funds among other partners.
